This Is My Why is a performance that deconstructs the culture in which one resides. The 5000 pieces of paper represent the culture at large, i.e., social norms, values, beliefs, etc. As individuals, we pick and choose what elements of our culture we find essential; we then take that information and process it, producing an original copy of a given reality.
